Shenandoah Wedding Professionals Membership Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the Shenandoah Wedding Professionals Network!

Before submitting this application for membership please confirm that your company meets the following requirements:


*Your company has been in business for at least one year

*You have a current business license or written proof that one is not required from the city/county/state where your business is located

*You carry liability insurance


If these requirements are met, please review the code of ethics below.  You must meet the requirements for membership and agree to abide by the Code of Ethics to be eligible for membership.  The $25 application fee is non-refundable.


Fees: 
Membership Fee: $180 (prorated for the month the application is received). 
Each Additional Company: $50 
Application Fee: $25 (non-refundable).

Membership fees are $180 annually (prorated) plus a one-time $25 non-refundable application fee.
 
If your company provides more than one service, we offer the option to advertise your company in more than one vendor category for an additional $50 yearly fee for each additional category listing. 
Only one company is allowed per application. 

Upon acceptance to Shenandoah Wedding Professionals, I agree to abide by the following
Code of Ethics:

- Maintain the highest standards of personal conduct
- Promote and encourage a high level of ethics and principles
- Accurately represent his or her qualifications and experience
- Provide quality services at the prices I have quoted
- Not to engage in unfair, unethical, or misleading practices
- Use written contracts which clearly state all terms, conditions and fees
- Meet all licensing as required by federal, state and local governments
- Maintain adequate liability insurance
- Strive for excellence in all aspects of the wedding industry
- Commit to contribute and share industry information with fellow members
- Promote networking with fellow members
- Recommend other wedding professionals solely on the Ethics stated herein and not for financial commissions, kickbacks or other financial gains
- Not be a party to agreements that unfairly limit or restrain access to the marketplace by any other wedding professional, client, or to the public, based upon race, creed, color, sex, age, physical disability, sexual orientation, or country of national origin
- Not to participate in any collusion or price fixing activities

Clicking Submit at the bottom of this form signifies your approval and agreement to abide by the code of ethics stated herein.

The General Membership of Shenandoah Wedding Professionals determines final acceptance. If one or more members have an objection to membership the objection will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. The Chairman of the Membership Committee will report to The Board of Directors on the Committee's findings. The Board will then determine whether to resubmit the application to the General Membership. A 2/3 majority of the attending membership must vote to accept the application for it to pass.

If you are exempt from any of these licenses, please explain below:

You are required to provide a copy of proof of liability insurance. Please verify proof of  insurance is current and not expired.

If you do not have liability insurance, please explain the reason why.  The Membership Committee will make the determination if the explanation is acceptable.
